Welcome to Helala. We built Helala to help people around the globe connect through instant messaging, social discovery, and shared social experiences. Your trust matters to us, and this document explains how we handle your personal data when you use the Helala mobile application ("App") and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of it, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.
This Privacy Policy applies solely to data processed by Helala through the App and the Service. It does not govern the data practices of any third-party platforms, advertisers, or external websites that may be linked from or integrated with Helala. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service before sharing your data with them.
Helala is a social discovery and messaging platform. Users can discover new people, build friendships, exchange messages, share moments, and send virtual gifts. The platform uses interest-based and behavioral matching to suggest connections.
In compliance with applicable international sanctions and trade regulations, the Service is unavailable in the following regions:
We obtain data through three channels: directly from you, automatically during your use of the Service, and from external sources.
3.1 Data You Provide Directly
Account Registration. When you sign up, we ask for basic profile details such as your display name, date of birth, gender, phone number or email address, and a profile photo. If you choose to register via a third-party account (e.g., Google, Facebook, or Apple ID), we receive the profile information that the third-party platform shares with your authorization.
Profile and Social Data. You may voluntarily enrich your profile with additional details including your bio, interests, occupation, and photos. Any content you post—text, images, or video—is also collected and stored by us.
Identity Verification. To foster authentic interactions, we may ask you to complete a facial recognition check. During this process, a single facial image is captured and securely stored on our servers. This image is never publicly displayed. You may decline verification, though doing so may limit certain personalized recommendation features. You can request deletion of your facial data at any time by contacting our support team.
Contacts. With your explicit permission, we may access your device's address book to help you find friends who are already using Helala. You can revoke this permission at any time through your device settings or by contacting us.
Communications. Messages, photos, videos, voice clips, and other content you exchange with other users are transmitted through and may be stored on our servers.
Support Interactions. When you reach out to our customer support team, we collect the information you provide in your inquiry, including any attachments.
3.2 Data Collected Automatically
Activity Data. We record how you interact with the Service—for example, which features you use, the duration of your sessions, content you view or "like," and your matching preferences.
Device and Technical Data. We collect your device model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, advertising identifiers, screen resolution, language settings, mobile carrier, and network connection type.
Location Data. We collect approximate location based on your IP address. If you grant location permissions, we may also collect precise GPS coordinates to enable location-based features such as nearby user discovery.
Cookies and Similar Technologies. Our website and certain in-app webviews use cookies, local storage, and similar tracking mechanisms to remember your preferences, analyze usage patterns, and support advertising. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser or device settings, though disabling cookies may degrade some functionality.
Server Logs. Our servers automatically record request data including your IP address, browser or app version, referring pages, timestamps, and requested URLs.
3.3 Data from Third Parties
Other Users. If another user uploads their contacts and your information is among them, we may associate that data with your account to improve friend suggestions.
Partners and Public Sources. We may receive supplementary data from business partners, analytics providers, or publicly available databases, and combine it with the data we already hold.

5.1 With Other Users
Your public profile information—such as your display name, profile photo, bio, and posted content—is visible to other users. Information about mutual connections may also be shown to facilitate trust between users.
5.2 With Service Providers
We engage trusted vendors to perform functions on our behalf, including cloud hosting, data analytics, payment processing, customer support, content moderation, and push notification delivery. These providers access only the data necessary to perform their tasks and are contractually bound to protect it.
5.3 With Affiliated Entities
We may share data within the Helala corporate family for operational, analytical, and product improvement purposes.

5.6 Aggregated or De-identified Data
We may share statistical or anonymized data that cannot reasonably identify any individual with advertisers, research partners, or the public.
The App may contain links to external websites or integrate with third-party services (such as social media platforms or payment processors). Once you leave the App or interact with a third-party integration, the third party's privacy policy governs. We are not responsible for their data practices.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we remove your data from active systems within a commercially reasonable timeframe, though residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period. We may also retain certain records as required by law or to resolve disputes.
Please note that content you have shared with other users—messages, photos, videos—may have been saved, screenshotted, or redistributed by those users beyond our control.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls based on the principle of least privilege, regular security audits, and real-time monitoring for anomalous activity. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access, data loss, or breaches.

Certain data may be retained in backups or as required by law. Please note that once your account is deleted, this action cannot be reversed and you will lose access to all associated data and services.

Helala is strictly intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under this age. If we discover that a minor has created an account, we will promptly terminate it and delete the associated data.

Your data may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, wherever Helala operates servers or engages service providers. Welcome to Helala! These Terms of Service ("Terms") establish a binding legal agreement between you and Typing Technology PTE. LTD. ("Helala," "we," "us," or "our"). They describe the rules and expectations that apply when you access or interact with the Helala mobile application ("App") and all associated features, tools, and functionalities (collectively, the "Service").
Please take time to review these Terms thoroughly. When you create an account or otherwise engage with the Service, you signal your acceptance of these Terms in full. Should you find any provision unacceptable, you must refrain from using the Service.
Our Privacy Policy forms an integral part of these Terms and explains how we collect, process, and safeguard your personal information. We encourage you to review it alongside this document.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION NOTICE: These Terms include provisions requiring individual arbitration for most disputes between you and Helala. By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge that you are waiving participation in any class-based legal proceedings. Please review Section 19 of the full Terms carefully.
The Service is designed exclusively for individuals who are at least 18 years old. By registering an account, you represent and warrant that:

This license exists solely to enable your personal, non-commercial enjoyment of the Service.
The App may periodically download and apply software updates, patches, or new features automatically. You can manage automatic update preferences through your device settings where available.

The Service enables you to generate, share, transmit, and store various forms of content, including text, images, video, audio, and other materials ("User Content"). Ownership of your User Content remains with you, subject to the license described below.
By making User Content available through the Service, you grant Helala a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to reproduce, host, store, display, modify, adapt, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and publish such content. This license enables us to operate, maintain, enhance, and promote the Service and to develop new products and features.
For content shared through publicly accessible features of the Service (such as community feeds, public profiles, or broadcast functions), you additionally authorize us and our commercial partners to incorporate that content into marketing, advertising, and promotional materials across any media format, whether currently existing or developed in the future. This includes the right to use your name, profile image, and likeness in connection with such content, without separate compensation.
We are not obligated to monitor User Content, but we reserve the right to review, screen, modify, or remove any content at our sole discretion, particularly where we believe it may violate these Terms.
You bear sole responsibility for all User Content you produce or share through the Service and must ensure that it does not infringe on any third-party rights.
A significant portion of the material accessible through the Service originates from other users, publishers, or external sources. Each piece of such content is the exclusive responsibility of whoever submitted it. While we strive to maintain quality standards and reserve the right to take action against content that breaches these Terms, we do not pre-screen every submission.
Accordingly, we make no representations regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or legality of content posted by other users. You engage with such content at your own risk and agree to release us from any claims arising from your reliance on it.
The Service may display advertisements placed by Helala, our affiliates, or authorized advertising partners. By using the Service, you consent to the presence of such advertisements.
If you choose to submit ideas, suggestions, or feedback regarding the Service, you acknowledge that we may freely use, implement, or adapt those contributions without any obligation to compensate you or credit you as the source.
Protecting your personal information is a priority. Our Privacy Policy details the types of data we collect, how we use and store it, and the choices available to you. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in that policy.

You may not use, reproduce, or display any Helala branding, logos, or proprietary marks without our prior written consent. Unauthorized use of our intellectual property may expose you to legal liability.
Copyright Complaints
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to valid infringement notices consistent with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and analogous international frameworks. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please send a written notification to skysystem.networks@gmail.com that includes:
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will take appropriate steps, which may include removing the identified content and, in cases of repeated infringement, terminating the responsible user's account.
User Content Responsibilities
By submitting content through the Service, you affirm that you either created the content independently or obtained all necessary authorizations from the original rights holder. Should any dispute arise from your content—including copyright claims, trademark objections, or privacy complaints—you accept full responsibility for resolving such disputes. You further agree to indemnify and reimburse us for any costs, damages, or expenses we incur as a result.
We invest significant effort in keeping the Service secure and reliable, but absolute safety cannot be guaranteed. You play an essential role by committing to the following:

General Terms
The Service may offer digital goods, premium features, and other purchasable items. All transactions are processed through third-party platforms such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and are subject to those platforms' terms and billing policies. Helala does not directly handle payment processing.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, all purchases are final and non-refundable once completed. By making a purchase, you waive any cooling-off rights to the extent permitted by your jurisdiction.
Virtual Products
Certain digital items available through the Service may be designed for single use, while others may be used repeatedly. However, no virtual product is permanent. We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or remove virtual products at any time without prior notice or liability to you. If your account is suspended or terminated, you will forfeit all virtual products associated with it.
Source of Funds
You represent and warrant that all funds used to make purchases through the Service are obtained from lawful sources.
Minors
If you are under 18 (or below the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must obtain parental or guardian consent before making any purchase.
Helala may offer an in-app virtual currency known as "Coins." Coins can be earned through participation in platform activities or purchased through the Service. They may be redeemed for virtual goods and features exclusively within the Service.
Nature of Coins
Coins hold no real-world monetary value. They are not legal tender, cannot be exchanged for cash, and do not represent stored value. Terms such as "earn," "spend," or "balance" are used for convenience and do not imply that Coins possess financial characteristics. Coins are provided under a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license.
Restrictions
Forfeiture and Expiration
All Coins are forfeited upon account termination or suspension. We may also expire free or promotional Coins at our discretion.
If your account is inactive for three consecutive months, any free Coins in your balance may be frozen. To restore them, contact us at skysystem.networks@gmail.com with a reactivation request. If inactivity extends to twelve consecutive months, all remaining Coins—whether free or purchased—may expire permanently. We will attempt to notify you 24 hours before clearing unused Coins.
Liability
We bear no liability for Coins lost due to security breaches, technical failures, or your violation of these Terms. However, if a verified technical malfunction on our end causes Coin loss, we will restore the affected balance. Our maximum obligation in such cases is limited to restoring the lost Coins.
All Coin acquisitions and redemptions are final and non-reversible except at our sole discretion.
You are solely responsible for any mobile carrier charges, data fees, or messaging costs incurred while using the Service. Consult your carrier for details before use if you are uncertain about potential charges.
The Service may incorporate or link to features, content, or services operated by third parties. Your interaction with any third-party service is governed by that party's own terms and policies. We assume no responsibility for the practices, content, or actions of any third-party provider.
We continuously evolve the Service, which means we may introduce, alter, or discontinue features, functionalities, or entire product lines at any time and without advance notice.
We may also terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without prior notification. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to, prolonged inactivity, violation of these Terms, or conduct we deem harmful to the community.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 3, 7, 8, 11–12, 15–20, and 23 of these Terms survive termination.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Helala, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from or relate to:

HELALA ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR USER CONTENT OR THIRD-PARTY CONTENT ACCESSIBLE THROUGH THE SERVICE. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU MAY ENCOUNTER MATERIAL THAT IS OFFENSIVE, INACCURATE, OR OBJECTIONABLE, AND YOU AGREE THAT HELALA BEARS NO LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH SUCH MATERIAL.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER HELALA NOR ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, SHAREHOLDERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, NOR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES ARISING FROM:
THIS APPLIES REGARDLESS OF WHETHER HELALA HAS BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN ALL CASES, HELALA'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100 USD) OR THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO HELALA DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
CERTAIN JURISDICTIONS RESTRICT THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF SPECIFIC DAMAGES. WHERE SUCH RESTRICTIONS APPLY, THE LIMITATIONS ABOVE SHALL BE ENFORCED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED.
Please read this section carefully. It significantly affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court.
Binding Arbitration
Any claim or dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved through informal negotiation or in small claims court shall be submitted to binding arbitration conducted on an individual basis. Neither party is required to arbitrate disputes involving allegations of unauthorized use of patents, copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets where equitable relief is sought.
Arbitration Procedures
Arbitration shall be administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre ("SIAC") in accordance with its prevailing rules. If SIAC is unavailable, the parties shall mutually agree on an alternative arbitral forum. The chosen forum's procedural rules apply except where they conflict with these Terms.
Non-Appearance Proceedings
Where permitted, arbitration may be conducted via telephone, video conference, written submissions, or a combination thereof, as selected by the initiating party. In-person appearances are not required unless both parties agree.
Arbitrator's Authority
The arbitrator shall have exclusive jurisdiction over procedural and substantive matters, including the enforceability of this arbitration provision. The arbitrator may award any remedy available under applicable law, the forum's rules, and these Terms, and shall issue a written decision detailing findings, conclusions, and any damages calculation.
Class Action and Collective Proceeding Waiver
ALL DISPUTES SUBJECT TO THIS ARBITRATION PROVISION MUST BE PURSUED INDIVIDUALLY. YOU AND HELALA EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS ACTIONS, CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATIONS, OR ANY CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDINGS. If a court determines this waiver is unenforceable, the entire arbitration provision shall be deemed void.
Confidentiality
Arbitration proceedings and all related evidence shall remain confidential and may not be disclosed to third parties except as required by law, court order, or mutual written agreement.
Opt-Out Right
You may opt out of this arbitration provision by delivering written notice to us within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms. Your notice must include your full name, mailing address, Helala username, registered email address, and a clear statement of your intent to opt out. Send your notice to skysystem.networks@gmail.com.
Small Claims Exception
Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court as an alternative to arbitration, provided the claim falls within that court's jurisdictional limits.
Survival
This arbitration provision remains in effect even after your relationship with Helala ends or your account is terminated.
The Service is not intended for individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. Our child safety commitments include:
If you encounter any content or behavior involving the exploitation or endangerment of a minor, report it immediately to skysystem.networks@gmail.com or through the in-app reporting tools.
These Terms and any disputes arising hereunder shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed entirely if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Certain features or services within the App may be subject to additional terms and conditions. Where applicable, those supplementary terms will be presented to you before you access the relevant feature and, upon your acceptance, become part of your agreement with us.
